The Sika ThermoCoat-7 ES U-shaped starter profiles are mechanically fixed to the substrate.<\/li>\n<li>Installation of the eps insulation boards: The insulation boards must be laid on clean, dry and well prepared substrates.<\/li>\n<li>Bonding of the eps insulation boards: Sika ThermoCoat-1\/3 ES cementitious adhesive is used for this purpose.<\/li>\n<li>Mechanical fixing of the boards: The mechanical fixing of the boards depends on the type of building substrate, the type of insulation used, the weight of the system and the construction. Up to a weight of 30 kg\/m2 and a height of less than 25 m, mechanical fixing is not compulsory. It is mandatory if it exceeds these guidelines and natural fibre insulation boards, cork, calcium silicate, gypsum board are used, which do not guarantee sufficient strength limits by their adhesion to the substrate alone. For insulation thicknesses greater than 10 cm it is always better to use mechanical fixing. Six fixings per square metre of board are installed, positioned at the corners of the board and one in the centre, for which holes are drilled and the dowels are inserted until they are fully penetrated. The dowels are then covered with mortar to prevent the formation of thermal bridges and to improve the adhesion of the following layers.<\/li>\n<li>Laying of the reinforcing mesh: Prior to laying the Sika ThermoCoat-4 ES mesh, the boards are coated with a first layer of mortar, called the base layer, approximately 1 to 2 mm thick. The mesh is then pressed into the mortar so that the fabric is perfectly embedded in the first layer. Once the first layer of mortar is dry, a second layer is applied to completely cover the mesh. The approximate thickness of the two layers is 4 mm. After a period of time, a sponge or trowel is used to smooth the surface.<\/li>\n<li>Finishing coat: Sika ThermoCoat-5 ES TF\/TG and Sika\u00ae ThermoCoat-5 ES TF Siltec \/TG Siltec are synthetic-mineral coatings based on acrylic dispersions modified with selected aggregates, especially suitable for the execution of waterproof, flexible and decorative facade coatings. It is recommended to use light colours, so as not to raise the temperature of the finished surface. This Royal Decree came into force on 13 April 2013. The Royal Decree obliges all buildings that are bought &#8211; sold &#8211; rented to make the energy performance certificate available to the buyer. It establishes the adaptation deadlines for obtaining the energy certificate for buildings. It establishes that from 31 December 2020 new buildings must have nearly zero energy consumption (two years earlier for public buildings).
